Bird Identification Quizzes

Please find below links to a small collection of Bird Identification quizzes. I have included these on my site as a light hearted way to help other birders practice their ID skills when not out birding. All of the quizzes consist of 20 multiple choice questions based on my photographs. At the end of each quiz the score out of 20 is given. Some are harder than others and so I have labelled them either easy , medium or hard.

I have constructed these quizzes using Powerpoint so that they can either be run from within the website or downloaded to hard disk to be run whenever convenient. Please be patient they are quite large files and so may take several seconds to load.

If they do not run properly it will probably be because you have Powerpoint set to block macros. This can be adjusted within Powerpoint in Office 2003 by selecting [ Tools - Macro - Security] and setting this to medium. Powerpoint will then prompt you to allow macros to run when you load the quiz. Similarly in Office 2007 open Powerpoint and then select [Office Button - Powerpoint Options - Trust Center - Trust Center Settings ] and make sure 'Disable all macros with notification' is the current setting.
